10:30 AM - 11:30 AM The Parodi Band

With their 2nd CD now released, the Parodi band blends the sound and style of the early 70′s with modern recording techniques to produce a sound reminiscent of “James Taylor meets Crosby Stills Nash & Young.” The songs are heart-felt and come from lifetimes of experience, pleasure and pain. The players are seasoned pros, led by Jim Parodi (who does most of the writing. Other albums are forthcoming.

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Michael Barrett and Friends

Sound designer by trade and musician by calling, Michael Barrett has a lengthy list of published software titles, toys, games, and apps to his credit. He is also a founding and 12-year member of the Sun Kings, Northern California’s premiere Beatles tribute band. In that role, he sang Paul McCartney’s vocals while providing keyboard, guitars, harmonica and percussion. In solo performance on acoustic guitar and keyboard, Michael covers a diverse roster of artists with a faithful yet personal style and a hatful of original songs to spice the mix.

01:00 PM - 1:30 PM Julia Park Tracey (book reading)

Local author Julia Park Tracey will read a brief excerpt from her newest book, The Doris Diaries Volume 2, Reaching for the Moon, which is based on the diary of Tracey’s great aunt, Doris Bailey who came of age in the early 1900’s during the time of Neptune Beach.
